Why Isn't Factual Wellness a Nonprofit Organization?
The designation of 501(c)(3) is for tax purposes. It does not indicate an organization's values, mission, or purpose.
If or when it serves the mission, Factual Wellness (a project by Ethos Press, LLC) will transition to a nonprofit. In the short term, the labor to form and maintain a nonprofit board and organization is inaccessible for our small publication. We do, however, have a fiscal sponsor. This means that you or your organization can make a contribution that may be eligible for tax deduction (based on your state's laws, your organization's structure, how you file taxes, etc.) and can be used by us for operational expenses, staff, expansion, and more.
Make a One-Time Contribution
Every dollar goes directly to Factual Wellness's time-intensive research. Right now, that means essential support for staff (like living expenses for a disabled scholar and mother of three) and website development costs. But Factual Wellness dreams big, with plans for multimedia expansion, staff growth, and more.
